I'm not interested in compliments on my work, only suggestions.
But it's so difficult to get noticed, to find someone to give advice, someone more experienced who can help me get better at what I do.
I'll keep submitting, waiting patiently for some constructive and observant criticism.
Devious Comments
I'm not a photographer, just admire photography, so I can't really offer any constructive or observant criticism but I can offer a couple suggestions that you may or may not already know on how to get noticed.
First and foremost as mentioned in FAQ 56, comment comment comment. Comment on other people's work that you admire.
Second, participate on dAmn. Some chatrooms that may suit you are:
#UnknownPhotography
#Photographers
#iPhotograph
If you have a deviation you are particularly proud of, like "Tunnel Vision" that you said you were sad no one noticed (which I love by the way), post the thumbnails in this chatroom:
#Thumbsshare
The code you use to post thumbnails is on the deviation's page under Thumb. ex The code for "Tunnel Vision" is :thumb73822880:
Third, try putting something in your signature that will attract people to your gallery. Even something simple like "I would really appreciate some constructive criticism on my photography" with a link to your gallery.
Lastly, when you submit a deviation consider setting the "Encourage advanced critique" option under "Deviation Options" and maybe allow a larger full view then the default 600 pixels.
If you have any questions about any of this feel free to send me a note, I'll gladly help if I can.
Anyways, good luck to you, and sorry for the long comment. I hope you find some of it helpful. fyi I found your gallery through a comment you left on ~ChibiYoko's profile.
